A final trailer for the upcoming limited TV series Obi-Wan Kenobi led by Ewan McGregor has been released by Disney+ as part of the May 4th Star Wars day celebrations. The series is still a couple of weeks away, but if this doesn’t whet one’s whistle, I don’t know what will. That end shot…. woah.
Set ten years after the events of ‘Revenge of the Sith’, where we last saw Kenobi, this new series sees McGregor play the title role, supported by an amazong cast that includes Rupert Friend, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
Official synopsis is as follows:
“Obi-Wan Kenobi” begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The first episode (or six) lands on 27th May.
Here’s the new trailer.
