New ‘Jackass’ series on the way; Set for Paramount +

A new Jackass TV series is in development for streaming service Paramount+. Variety reports that the new series, the first for fifteen years is set for the small screen soon, following the success of the most recent movie, jackass forever, which hit physical home formats this very week.

Johnny Knoxville in jackass forever from Paramount Pictures and MTV Entertainment Studios.

“Based off the success of ‘Jackass Forever,’ we’re working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing even more ridiculous antics straight to Paramount+,” Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish said on an earnings call for the studio just yesterday (via the trade).

jackass forever took in just over $80 million with the film still earning on home formats – that from a budget a mere fraction of that.

A further film made up of cut material from the recent film, titled jackass 4.5, will hit Netflix in a couple of weeks on 20th May.

More on the new series as it comes our way.
