I think we all know that Josh Brolin is set to take on a crazy commitment for Spike Lee’s remake of OLDBOY and now we’ve got the video to prove how hard the man has been working. In the film, he’s been locked up in solitary confinement for 20 years without reason and so Brolin’s Joe Doucett is obsessed with vengeance and sets out to find out why he was kidnapped.
It’s obvious that Spike Lee is going with the ‘no limits’ approach to the violence and web of torment, we’re looking with intrigue to see how this remake of the classic by Chan-wook Park turns out. To get you in the mood for some brilliant madness, check out this featurette that heads behind-the-scenes with Brolin and company to see what he did to prepare for each moment, it’s pretty impressive:
OLDBOY is directed by Spike Lee and co-stars Sharlto Copley, Lance Reddick, Michael Imperioli and James Ransone. It opens in the States on 27th November and follows not too shortly after in the UK on December 6th.
