Ray Donovan Season 4: Showtime debut a first-look at the new season, set for a June 2016 bow.
The Ray Donovan season 4 trailer has just landed online, and Showtime have officially announced the premiere date for the summer.
Ray Donovan season 4, which will once again be led by the brilliant Liev Schreiber, will debut on Showtime in the U.S. on June 26th, 2016. We expect it to head for Sky Atlantic in the U.K. during the same week, as per the previous three seasons.
Ray Donovan debuted on the cable channel back in 2013, and also stars the likes of Jon Voight, Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok and Paula Malcomson.
If you’re not familiar with the series, here’s an outline.
Ray Donovan is a “fixer” for Hollywood’s elite. He is the go-to guy that the city’s celebrities, athletes and business moguls call to make their problems disappear. It’s a much more lucrative job than his previous work as a ruthless South Boston thug, vaulting him within reach of the truly wealthy and powerful. But no amount of money or the expensive things it can buy can completely mask Ray’s past, a past that continues to haunt him with troubled brothers always calling and his father’s recent release from 20 years spent in prison. Now a free man, Ray’s father, Mickey, arrives in Los Angeles to get what he feels is rightfully his. Mickey’s desire to reconnect and settle old scores with his family — including Ray’s wife and kids, who have never met the family’s patriarch and are anxious to get to know him — threatens to destroy everything Ray has built for himself.
Season 4, which is now in production, sounds like it could be the best yet as Ray reconnects with his forgotten faith. His father Mickey (Voight) has gone from Los Angeles and is also intent on starting anew following his run in with the Armenian mafia at the end of season 3.
