BRIDESMAIDS star Kristin Wiig is to seduce Steve Carell’s lamp-loving loon Brick Tamland with some ‘Afternoon Delight’ as she’ll join the cast of Adam McKay’s long-awaited sequel, ANCHORMAN 2: THE LEGEND CONTINUES. What this means for Will Ferrell’s Channel 4 News Anchor Ron Burgundy and the rest of his faithful team only time will tell but it appears Brick is in need for some Sex Panther as he aims to impress a new love interest.
Already confirmed as returning alongside Ferrell’s San Diego-an(?) television superstar and Carell are Paul Rudd as Brian Fantana, David Koechner back as Champ Kind and Christina Applegate’s Tits Magee (or Veronica Corningstone), all reprising their roles from the oft-quoted cult comedy classic. Also expect a bucketload of cameos from rival newscasters and Baxter-kickers as Burgundy and his close-knit, clueless team attempt to get to grips with the idea of racial equality. The film is also rumoured for a release as early as October 2013, giving credence to the fact the film is currently shooting quietly (or soon-to-shoot) in a ‘hush-hush’ production.
Now, stay classy!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
