Here’s an intriguing new trailer and poster for the upcoming Entebbe, the new film from José Padilha which stars Rosamund Pike, Daniel Brühl and Eddie Marsan. We’re seeing that this is being referred to as 7 Days In Entebbe in some territories, but as far as we can tell it will remain to be titled Entebbe in the UK.
From the director of Narcos, Entebbe is based on the 1976 true story of four hijackers who took a plane hostage and forced it to land in Entebbe, Uganda, while they demanded the release of dozens of Palestinian terrorists. The ticking-clock thriller follows the hijackers and hostages as well as the political leaders trying to decide whether to negotiate or send an elite special forces unit on a dramatic rescue mission to free the hostages.
The film looks rather well done and includes quite the supporting cast – Ben Schnetzer and Vincent Cassel included. Entebbe will open on March 9th, 2018 in the UK, and a week later Stateside.
