A new Riddick film is coming to screens with a shoot on the cards for this summer. According to trade bible Deadline, the film will go before the cameras this August with Vin Diesel returning to the title role with the title Riddick: Furya confirmed.
Shooting is set to kick off in Germany, Spain and the U.K. with writer and director David Twohy also returning behind the camera. Three films precede the previous three; Pitch Black (2000), The Chronicles of Riddick (2004) and Riddick (2013).
The trade also has a synopsis for the sequel which is as follows.
In Riddick: Furya, Riddick finally returns to his home world, a place he barely remembers and one he fears might be left in ruins. But there he finds other Furyans fighting for their existence against a new monster. And some of these Furyans are more like Riddick than he could have ever imagined.
