With nearly 500,000 YouTube hits in less than 24 hours, this is one spot you don’t want to miss!
Last night marked the annual 56th Grammy Awards, and during the ceremony the audience were given a new preview of Robert Stromberg’s directorial debut MALEFICENT. Starring the brilliantly creepy Angelina Jolie (look at those razor-sharp cheek bones!), the film takes the classic Disney tale of SLEEPING BEAUTY and turns it on its head, showing us the perspective of wicked queen Maleficent. Co-starring Elle Fanning, Sharlto Copley, Peter Capaldi, Miranda Richardson, Juno Temple, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Kenneth Cranham, Lesley Manville and Ella Purnell, this will definitely be a huge hit for everyone involved. Stromberg was a visual effects artist for the likes of THE HUNGER GAMES, ALICE IN WONDERLAND and PAN’S LABYRINTH, which is obvious throughout the trailer. Spooky with a hint of malice, I have a feeling this will be excellent.
MALEFICENT will arrive in cinemas from 30th May 2014. For anyone interested, the song featured is a cover by Lana Del Rey of ‘Once Upon A Dream’.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
