Based on the graphic novel of the same name, I, FRANKENSTEIN sees a pumped up Aaron Eckhart playing Frankenstein’s monster 200 years after his initial creation. Now living in the present day, Adam (because all monsters deserve a name) is now tracked down by demons. It’s an obvious action twist on the familiar story, and although it sounds similar to something like VAN HELSING, at least it looks a lot darker and less campy.
The image doesn’t give a lot away, but it is also being suggested that we can expect a trailer later this this week. I’m not against revisionist works, but I’m still not convinced that this will be anything more than a simple popcorn film.
I, FRANKENSTEIN is released on 24th January 2014. It stars Aaron Eckhart, Yvonne Strahovski, Bill Nighy, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney, and Caitlin Stasey.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
