Trailer: Mia Hansen-Løve’s Cannes-bound ‘Bergman Island’

by Paul Heath

Here’s the trailer for a film set to premiere at next month’s Cannes Film Festival, the latest film from Mia Hansen-Løve, Bergman Island. Vicky Krieps, Tim Roth, Mia Wasikowska, and Anders Danielsen Lie lead the cast of the film which will go on general release later in the year.

I’ve not managed to find much information about the film, but the IMDB has a synopsis:

“The picture revolves around an American filmmaking couple who retreat to the island for the summer to each write screenplays for their upcoming films in an act of pilgrimage to the place that inspired Bergman. As the summer and their screenplays advance, the lines between reality and fiction start to blur against the backdrop of the Island’s wild landscape.”

Very much looking forward to seeing this one.
