Production on the sequel to Shazam!, Shazam: Fury Of The Gods, is now underway and the film’s director, David F, Samberg, has debuted a brief tease to celebrate the shooting announcement. Zachary Levi leads the cast of the film, with Faithe Herman, Marta Milans, Asher Angel, Adam Brody, Jack Dylan Grazer, Helen Mirren, and Lucy Liu also starring.
The release date for this one is some ways off, with Warner Bros. announcing a June 2, 2023 debut for the blockbuster sequel.
Levi also signalled the start of principal photography with a shot of some pretty cool kicks.
“So grateful to @wbpictures @newlinecinema @dccomics et al for seeing the 16 year old inside me and believing he could be their Big Red Cheese. Actual 16 year old me would be shitting himself if he knew what his future was gonna hold,” he said on Instagram.
“I legit sit around and just feel overcome with gratitude when I allow myself to look back [through] my life and see all the countless blessings.”
