Although not really a huge gamble for Disney, it’s still an interesting decision for them to finally go live-action for this classic animation epic. The Jungle Book is being brought to life by director Jon Favreau with the voice talents of an A-list cast that includes Scarlett Johannson, Idris Elba, Bill Murray, Sir Ben Kingsley, Christopher Walken, Giancarlo Esposito, and Lupita Nyong’o with man-cub Mowgli being played by newcomer Neel Sethi.
The Jungle Book, of course, is all about the orphaned boy being raised in the jungle with the help of a pack of wolves, a bear, and a black panther – and all those who try to foil his existence. Take a look at the great little legacy featurette alongside a Bill Murray-Baloo-related clip named ‘Hibernation‘ just below – it opens in the UK on 15th April.
The Jungle Book swings into UK cinemas on 15 April 2016.
