Halle Berry is expected to make her move to the small screen, as it was announced that she will be starring in the new Sci-Fi drama EXTANT, which is expected to premiere on CBS sometime in 2014.
Berry will be playing an astronaut who comes back to earth after a year long solo mission and tries to fit back into normal society. Her experiences in space and back home will eventually lead to events that will change the course of history.
EXTANT will be a co production between CBS and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television. In a statement released on Friday, Spielberg said he was “incredibly honoured” that Berry will be joining his latest venture:
“There’s only one Halle Berry and we are incredibly honored that she has chosen EXTANT to expand her illustrious career. As she does with everything she touches, she will bring a deep authenticity to her role and I very much look forward to working with her.”
We have to admit, we’re quite excited about this casting! What do you think?
