The only problem with films that catch your eye on the festival circuit is that you have to wait ages for them to be released, and trust us, we have been waiting so long for the release of GIRL MOST LIKELY.
The film first premiered back in September (see what I mean) at the Toronto Film Festival and earned a reputation of being the ‘quirky indie’ and was snapped up by Lionsgate. Now, we’re finally in the month of its release and we’re getting to see just how quirky it will be. In these new stills, we see tribute Backstreet Boys, Annette Bening pulling off her best Jersey mum acting and Kristen Wiig as Imogene in a Atlantic City casino wearing nothing but a dressing gown.
GIRL MOST LIKELY tells the story of playwright named Imogene (Kristen Wiig) who fakes a suicide attempt to try and win back her boyfriend, instead she ends up in the care of her New Jersey mother (Annette Bening) and finds that her mum has rented out her room to a member of a Backstreet Boys tribute band named Lee (Darren Criss). Check out some of the new images below:

The film is released in the UK at the end of July (the wait is almost over!) and our US friends will get to see the film 19th July.
