Dreamworks Pictures have teamed up with video game giants Electronic Arts (EA) on a big-budget, live-action adventure based on the best-selling street racing game series, NEED FOR SPEED. A brand new featurette has surfaced giving fans of the high-octane action genre a peek at the behind-the-scenes of the project, coming with commentary from director Scott Waugh, best known for his war thriller ACT OF VALOR. There is also the first crushing footage showcasing BREAKING BAD’s brilliant Aaron Paul and Brit actor Dominic Cooper as the racing rivals Tobey and Dino strapped into their drivers seats!
Framed for a crime he didn’t commit, muscle car mechanic and street racer Tobey (Aaron Paul) gets out of prison determined to settle the score with the man responsible for his false conviction. Tobey tears up the road in a gritty cross-country journey— one that begins as a mission for revenge, but proves to be one of redemption. DreamWorks Pictures’ “Need for Speed” is directed by Scott Waugh (“Act of Valor”), and also stars Dominic Cooper, Ramon Rodriguez, Rami Malek, Imogen Poots, Dakota Johnson and Scott Mescudi.
NEED FOR SPEED will be hoping to match the success of the FAST & FURIOUS franchise with the film racing into cinemas from the 14th March 2014.
