The fourth installment of the [REC] franchise REC 4: APOCALYPSE has been picking up some steam in recent weeks, with a creepy teaser poster appearing a week ago. Now the found footage sequel has debuted a motion poster courtesy of Bloody Disgusting. Jaume Balaguero is directing this one solo, as his [REC] and [REC 2] co-director, Paco Plaza, did for the third. REC 4: APOCALYPSE will see the original film’s protagonist Angela Vidal (Manuela Velasco) return, but infected with something other than the rage fueled virus we are familiar with.
As much as I love the series, I think 4 will be a safe number to end on. It will also be fun to see how Balaguero handles the franchise by himself, and what it was that he brought to the table for the first two films.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
