It’s not often a horror remake lands a super cast and filmmaker but luckily for fans of Stephen King’s best-seller CARRIE (previously adapted into the 1976 masterpiece by Brian DePalma), Oscar-nominated filmmaker Kimberly Peirce (BOYS DON’T CRY) should be the perfect candidate to bring us the modernised version of the troubled telekinetic teen. The young girl pushed to the limit come Prom Night.
To celebrate Mother’s Day in the US, Screen Gems has revealed this brand new CinemaMosaic poster from the film starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Alex Russell, Gabriella Wilde, Ansel Elgort and Julianne Moore. After all, Carrie White is a (tortured) mummy’s girl!
CARRIE is unleashed in US cinemas 18th October and the UK from 29th November.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
