While we’ve previously brought you a masked stuntman sporting the latex look of Paul Giamatti’s Russian psycho Aleksei Sytsevich (aka The Rhino) in Marc Webb’s THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, we finally have an official image of his mobster madman. Webb has personally tweeted the following image of the Oscar-nominated actor in the same heavily tattooed make-up and shaved head we’ve previously seen worn by a skilled movie daredevil.

THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN 2 will swing into cinemas from the 2nd May 2014 and co-stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Sally Field, Colm Feore, Chris Cooper and Shailene Woodley. Marc Webb is once again at the helm of the rebooted franchise. The official plot synopsis is as follows:
In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.

he does look more like Calendar man than Rhino. It would probably be more believable.

Ha, ha! This movie’s going to be so terrible! What do they have for the costume? Well, they could do a really awesome and original update that still stays true to the comics, but no! They decided to use a caricatured version of the Toby Maguire suit. They could have some of the awesome Spiderman villains like the Green Goblin or Doc Ock, but no! They decided to use the two silliest Spiderman villains in existence. Electro and the Rhino!
