Hayley Atwell and mischief-maker Tom Hiddleston have officially signed up to lead writer/director Paul Andrew Williams latest project titled CLOSE ENOUGH.
The film will be set during the 1930’s and will follow two war photographers, Gerda Toro (Atwell) and Robert Capa (Hiddleston) from their original meeting in Paris, through to their dangerous work in documenting the Spanish Civil War during the latter part of the decade.
Williams, who came to attention with the controversial and acclaimed thriller LONDON TO BRIGHTON, recently saw success with independent tragicomedy SONG FOR MARION. Production on CLOSE ENOUGH is scheduled to begin in June.
Both Hiddleston and Atwell will also appear in Marvel’s upcoming adventures, THOR: THE DARK WORLD and CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, respectively. The former is also reportedly in negotiations to take the lead in THE CROW reboot.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
