It’s been a long 4 years since Neill Blomkamp amazed us with his first feature DISTRICT 9, but the wait for his next project ELYSIUM is nearly over. ELYSIUM stars Matt Damon as a man from the lower class of humanity in the year 2159. The lower class are forced to remain on an overpopulated Earth, while the upper classes live on a space-station called Elysium.
Damon must travel to Elysium in order to get a cure for his terminal illness. Sony Pictures must be very confident with the film as they moved the release date from March to the summer season.
ELYSIUM will be released in the US on 9th August, and in the UK on 20th September. Its stars Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, William Fichtner, Sharlto Copley, Alice Braga, Wagner Moura, and Diego Luna.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
