As far as we can tell, it’s not even been published yet but Warner Bros has already snapped up the movie rights for THE ROAD HOME by Michael Armour and they’re setting it up for Leonardo DiCaprio, who’s supposed to be on a long break isn’t he? Regardless, Scott Cooper of CRAZY HEART fame has also signed up to write the screenplay, direct and produce with Leo and Jennifer Davisson Killoran’s Appian Way production company.

THE ROAD HOME is  set in the Great Depression and focuses on a man named Creek on the Central California coast, who finds himself tangled up in a scandal when he is asked to investigate the brutal murder of a local man.

Obviously, at this stage, all this is such a long way off that DiCaprio could still have that time off he’s been promising himself but either way, we’ll be keeping an eye on both these projects with interest. Leo’s company is also behind the upcoming Cooper project OUT OF THE FURNACE, which stars the likes of Christian Bale, Woody Harrelson and Zoe Saldana.
