SNOWPIERCER will be the English language debut of Korean cinematic master Bong Joon Ho, responsible for underrated classics such as MEMORIES OF MURDER, THE HOST, and MOTHER. Unlike films from his fellow natives Park Chan Wook (STOKER) and Kim Jee Woon (THE LAST STAND), SNOWPIERCER has been keeping things very mysterious and low-key. That trend is continuing with this poster for the film. Despite incredible concept art depicting grandiose scenes and sets, the poster has decided to focus on a small group of people seemingly lead by John Hurt. The film sees all of humanity surviving on a train after a new ice-age. However, there are still class struggles from the people in the lower classes to the more elite of society, and this is far more important than a few inches of leg room. This is at least a bit information than the last poster, which was just a list of names, but could this honestly be a film that is holding back its big guns until the actual release?
SNOWPIERCER is yet to receive a release date, but should be approaching around summer. It stars Chris Evans, Song Kang Ho, Octavia Spencer, Jamie Bell, Tilda Swinton, Ed Harris, John Hurt, Ewen Bremner, and Alison Pill.
