Fantastic Grisly Poster For ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ Proves Evil Wears Many Faces!

The title may have dropped ‘THE’ and ‘MASSACRE’ from the original moniker, but it appears heads are still gonna roll (as they’re lopped off) in the rebooted franchise horror now known only as TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D. Things have quietly moved forward since we last broke news that the film was in the works, which even gave us an early teaser poster months before the film was shot.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Tobe Hooper’s 1974 macabre masterpiece, and while coming nowhere close to the original, I dug the hell out of Marcus Nispel’s remake, which for me has been the only film worth noting under Michael Bay’s notorious production company Platinum Dunes. This new take will see stunner Alexandra Daddario’s Heather travel to Texas to collect a family inheritance that comes with a rather nasty clause. It will be great to see cult actor Bill Moseley back in the franchise after appearing a Chop Top in Hooper’s original sequel, as well as John Dugan who portrayed Grandfather in the first film.

Now we have the rather genius (and graphic) first official poster design for the film directed by John Lussenhop, that will tear up cinemas from 4th January 2013.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
