Think of your favourite men behind the wheel from film and TV – Gosling’s ‘Driver’, Ricky Bobby, Dick Dastardly, that fat one off SNATCH – and ask yourself this question: are they as good as THOR? No, of course not. After all, he’s got a big hammer, thunder coming out of his arse, and lovely blond hair. And if that wasn’t enough, he’s about to show just how good a driver he is in Ron Howard’s RUSH.
OK, it’s not actually Thor, but the actor behind the hammer, Chris Hemsworth. He’ll be playing real-life F1 driver James Hunt, whose rivalry with Austrian driver Niki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl) forms the basis of RUSH, the latest sports drama from director Ron Howard. The film documents Lauda’s return to track to challenge Hunt, only weeks after a life-threatening crash.
