Last week’s rather epic 6 minute trailer, along with these images, gave us the first look at Tom Tykwer and the Wasikowski’s joint adaptation of David Mitchell’s best-seller CLOUD ATLAS. The science-fiction head-scratcher has a complex structure to its interweaving plot and multi-stranded storylines – ones that are set in the past, present and future and depict how choices made in the characters’ lives impact one another’s timelines. We just hope we’ll be able to get our heads around it when it arrives on the big-screen!
Featuring an all-star cast including Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent, Ben Whishaw, Jim Sturgess, Susan Sarandon and Hugh Grant, CLOUD ATLAS hits cinemas in October. Below we have a huge collection of character images that showcase how the major players will appear over the course of the film.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
