Rebecca Hall Set For ‘Iron Man 3’

Yesterday we reported that Oscar-nominee Jessica Chastain had confirmed she was unable to fit the role, of Dr Maya Hansen for IRON MAN 3, into her busy schedule. Marvel and Disney studios have been to quick to find a replacement in the form of another fine actress, Rebecca Hall.  THE TOWN Golden Globe-nominee is a stunning natural beauty, with acting talent to match and is now in negotiations to fill the void left by Chastain.

If she agrees to come onboard, she’ll join Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark, who is currently breaking box-office records as part of the AVENGERS ASSEMBLE team. Already confirmed for the shoot next month are Don Cheadle, Gwenyth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson as Jim Rhodes, Pepper Potts and Natasha Romanoff respectively. They will feature alongside new nemesis’ Ben Kingsley and Guy Pearce.

IRON MAN 3 will be written and directed by Shane Black and will hit cinemas 3rd May 2013.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
