British stunner Lena Headey is currently showcasing her talents in HBO’s epic series GAME OF THRONES, but she will soon be seen this September, in a reboot of 2000AD comic hero ‘Judge Dredd’. Headey, familiar from roles in Zack Snyder hit 300 and the short-lived series TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNER CHRONICLES, will play the scarred villain ‘Ma-Ma’ Madrigal.
VANTAGE POINT director Pete Travis has attempted to wipe the slate clean following Danny Cannon’s earlier cartoonish version of the DREDD character, played by Sylvester Stallone. We have had a few images from the new film, that stars Karl Urban as the unforgiving law-enforcer of Mega City One. However, this is the first image of Headey as the former prostitute-turned-drug kingpin.
DREDD comes from a script from 28 DAYS LATER’s Alex Garland and hits cinemas 7th September. The film also co-stars Olivia Thirby, Domhnall Gleeson, Deobia Oparei, Langley Kirkwood and Jason Cope.
