2000AD’s comic-book favourite Judge Dredd will soon be seen back on the big-screen 17 years after Sylvester Stallone’s disastrous attempt. Karl Urban will play the futuristic Judge, juror and executioner on the streets of Mega City One in Pete Travis’ take on writer John Wagner and artist Carlos Ezquerra’s creation. Fans were pleased to hear Judge Dredd will remain faceless, keeping in tradition with the British comic-book’s mysterious sour-faced character.
Here we have four new shots (one pretty graphic – so be warned) from the new film DREDD which co-stars Olivia Thirlby, Lena Headey, Luke Tyler and Domhnall Gleeson. The film will be released 21st September.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
