Previous academy award winner for best actor and best picture, Michael Douglas, is to present an award at this year’s Oscars ceremony.
He joins the crème de la crème of Hollywood including Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie, Bradley Cooper, Rose Bryne and Penelope Cruz who are also tipped to be handing over the prestigious golden men.
The 67 year-old cancer survivor is likely to be using his basic instincts (sorry) to announce the award for best picture, which should come as no problem considering ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOOS NEST, a film he co-produced, won the same title back in 1975.
The Academy Awards kick off on Sunday 26th February at the Kodak theatre with the nine nominees for best picture, THE DESCENDANTS, THE ARTIST, MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, EXTREMELY LOUD & INCREDIBLY CLOSE, THE HELP, WAR HORSE, HUGO, MONEYBALL AND THE TREE OF LIFE all hoping to sweep up that outstanding film award.
