The arrival of a new Pixar film is always something to get excited about. Having barely put a foot wrong since 1995’s TOY STORY, the animation studio have proved themselves the most consistent filmmakers working today.
For BRAVE, Pixar have moved the action to Scotland, where skilled archer Princess Merida (Kelly Macdonald) defies an age-old tradition in pursuit of her dreams, upsetting the lords of the land in the process. Turning to a mysterious Wise Woman she is granted a wish, but soon has to use her bravery and archery skills to undo a terrible curse.
BRAVE is directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, and also co-stars Kevin McKidd, Emma Thompson, Robbie Coltrane, Julie Walters, Craig Ferguson, and Billy Connoly. It arrives in cienemas August 2012.
