Reports are being made that Dimension are in talks with writers , John Aboud (THE COMEBACKS), Michael Colton (THE COMEBACKS) and Stephen Leff (THE BACKUP) and actors from the earlier installments in the Franchise including Regina Hall (SCARY MOVIE 1-4), Anthony Anderson (SCARY MOVIE 3&4, SCREAM 4), and Kevin Hart (SCARY MOVIE 3&4, SUPERHERO MOVIE), although nothing has yet been signed off.
Back in 2009 whispers were heard pointing to a remake of the original but sticking with a format they know well decided instead to go for the option of a straight sequel.
Although nothing has been officially confirmed yet other than the ambitious aim for a release date of April 20th 2012, rumours are circulating about the rest of the cast line up, linking names such as Anna Faris and Hulk Hogan to the project.
