THE LAST SAMURAI and BLOOD DIAMOND director Edward Zwick is to helm new epic adventure film THE GREAT WALL. The film will mark the first feature for Warner Brothers new production company Legendary East Limited which will be based in Hong Kong . Zwick, who’s last release was the Jake Gyllenhaal and and Anne Hathaway comic drama LOVE AND OTHER DRUGS, will collaborate with his long time writing and producing partner Marshall Herskovitz on the project that sees him back in the genre of the sweeping epics like LEGENDS OF THE FALL and GLORY that brought him commercial and critical acclaim.
This could be an intriguing one as Zwick always seems to be top of his game when given projects of this variety, here’s hoping we get a great adventure tale upon it’s release.
