Zach Braff has officially joined the cast of director Sam Raimi’s OZ, THE GREAT AND POWERFUL. Deadline report the news of the former Scrubs actor’s casting.
The film is a prequel to the 1939 musical THE WIZARD OF OZ and will see James Franco, Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz and Joey King also star.
The film is housed over at Disney and has a release date set for March 8th, 2013 – so a long time to wait to see it.
According to Deadline, Braff will play The Wizard’s (Franco) “loyal but under-appreciated” assistant, Frank.
