Flynn’s Arcade hits London’s South Bank to promote Tron: Legacy!

I have just walked out of Waterloo Station in the heart of London, and across to the South Bank on the banks of the river Thames where, just next door to the BFI sits Flynn’s Arcade, a promotional space set up to celebrate the release of TRON: LEGACY.

The promotion, set up by HP to showcase both the film and their HP ePrint. Inside you are first greeted by a classic wall of arcade games, including the original TRON cabinet, along with many others, some covered by dust sheets, just like in the movie itself. Through the hall a little further and the space opens up to a second room featuring a life sized TRON cycle (see below), a couple of X-Box 360s set up so that you can demo the new TRON: LEGACY game, and a unit showcasing the amazing TRON: LEGACY trailer.

Visitors can have their photo taken with the life size TRON cycle, and then have it immediately printed using HP’s latest ePrint technology to keep as a souvenir. The organisers were also offering a contest to win tickets to the star-studded European premiere next Sunday evening.

Visitors after 5pm will also be treated to a stunning visual feast in the form of a TRON-inspired light show, projected against the side of the hall to make it look like it’s right out of the movie.

It’s an awesome little free attraction that I recommend you go check out if you are in the city. The promo is running from now until December 2nd.

Check out a few snaps that I took this evening below.

TRON: LEGACY plays in cinemas around the world from December 17. Check back to THN soo for a full review, along with coverage of the fantastic premiere!
