A fifth Resident Evil film planned already?

We are updating you all with the weekend box-office a little later on today after the official numbers come through from Rentrak, but following an estimated $73 million plus worldwide box-office haul over the past three days for Resident Evil: Afterlife, Milla Jovovich has revealed that a fifth movie in the series is already planned. The actress spoke to Vulture.

“This new Resident Evil is the first one to ever open at No. 1 worldwide. It’s the biggest movie in the franchise,” She said.

“So we’re definitely going to make another one.”

She also added that husband and director Paul WS Anderson has already ideas for another film, but it looks like they are going to listen to the fans for the next installment.

“We’ve been talking to a lot of fans on Twitter and stuff, so it’s probably going to be one of the first movies where we really talk to fans to see what they want, and what characters they want to see. It’s going to be a more interactive process.” Jovovich added.

The pair are currently shooting a 3D reboot of The Three Musketeers.
