Deadline are reporting that Mel Gibson and Frank Grillo are set to lead the cast of Joe Carnahan’s Boss Level, a new action-thriller to go into production next year. Carnahan wrote the script for the film, and is set to direct to Groundhog Day-like movie.
The trade blog also posted the official synopsis for Boss Level, which is as follows:
Every day, a retired special forces veteran (Grillo) is trapped in a never-ending loop resulting in his death. In order to stop his endless suffering, he must figure out who is responsible and stop them.
Grillo was most recently seen in the excellent Netflix movie Wheelman (above), while Gibson is coming off the back of Daddy’s Home 2, which opens in the UK next week. It has already debuted well Stateside and could be set to do the same on the British Isles.
More on Boss Level as it comes our way.
