Say what you want, Better Call Saul is slowly turning into greatness. Just two seasons in and we’re already hooked. With the likes of Breaking Bad characters like Mike Ehrmentraut (Jonathan Banks) and Tuco Salmanca (Raymond Cruz) already popping up fans are getting hopeful of a return of the ultimate – Bryan Cranston‘s Walter White, probably one of the greatest TV characters of the last 10 years.
Well, Cranston has been on the road on the interview circuit and the subject of BB and a potential return to the prequel series Better Call Saul has popped up.
Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show Cranston said, “I owe Vince Gilligan so much. He was my champion to get [the Walter White] role. I was the guy coming off Malcolm in the Middle. If they were to call me and say, ‘We have this idea, we’d like … ,’ I would say, ‘Yes, you don’t have to finish the pitch. I’m there, what do you want me to do?’”
“I know how careful they are and proprietary they are with those characters and those storylines, and it wouldn’t be something, ‘Oh, isn’t that kind of a stunt casting kind of thing.’ It would be something kind of unique and obscure and creative, and I’m all in.”
Oh gosh.
Aaron Paul (who played Jessie Pinkman in Breaking Bad) has already said that he would also return to to reprise his role in a number of interviews. It’s just a matter of time we think.
Season 3 of Better Call Saul will air on AMC in the US and on Netflix in the UK in February 2017.
