Miller, Crudup & Angarano Join ‘Stanford Prison Experiment’

Ezra Miller

It was only yesterday that we brought you the trailer to Billy Crudup’s latest venture, RUDDERLESS, and now it looks like he might be attaching his name to something else. News has surfaced that the ALMOST FAMOUS actor will star alongside Ezra Miller (WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN) and Michael Angarano (THE BRASS TEAPOT) in STANFORD PRISON EXPERIMENT, based on true events.

With a script penned by Tim Talbott (South Park, Chicago Fire), the story is taken from an experiment conducted at Stanford University in the 1970s. A group of 19 and 20 year-old students are separated into two groups – prisoners and wardens. With a two week trial period, the participants are left to their own devices. However, with free reign to do what they want – and having gone a little power-crazy – the experiment has to be cut short due to ‘sadistic’ abuse.

As I said in yesterday’s article, I’m a huge fan of Crudup. Aside from his name I’m happy to see Miller coming out of the woodwork again, as I loved him in THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER. With a story this controversial and (surprisingly) relevant it’ll be interesting to see what they do with it.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
