Neighbors Seth Rogen Zac Efron

It has been announced that NEIGHBORS, starring Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Dave Franco, is set to have its world premiere at this year’s South By Southwest Film Festival.

Yes, SXSW have announced their full line-up for this year’s festival, and it’s a good one!  Jon Favraeu’s CHEF and VERONICA MARS had previously been announced, but joining those films and NEIGHBORS includes the Sundance smash BOYHOOD, David Gordon Green’s latest JOE and Neil Berkley’s documentary of Community creator Dan Harmon HARMONTOWN.

On top of all the great films that will be premiering at the festival, a new section called “Episodic” has been announced. TV shows like HBO’s SILICON VALLEY, Showtime’s PENNY DREADFUL and FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE TV SERIES will all be premiering, following the success of previous TV shows making their debut (Shows like GIRLS had great success at the festival).

Speaking of the new section, SXSW’s Janet Pierson said:

“There have always been great independent filmmakers working in TV. I watch a lot of high-quality work on TV and talk about a lot of TV. We have to be current, and we decided not to be restricted by screen size. That’s why we figured out a way to create a whole new section.”

SXSW Film Festival 2014 will run March 7th till March 15th in Austin, Texas. To check out the full line up visit SXSW’s website.
