It may centre on the exact same characters and plot (although the action, or rather the terror will be transported to foreign shores), but the sequel to the enjoyably gory FRIGHT NIGHT remake received an entire recast for forthcoming the straight-to-DVD follow-up. Replacing Anton Yelchin, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Imogen Poots and David Tennant will be Will Payne as Charley Brewster, Chris Waller as best pal ‘Evil’ Ed, Sean Power as modern-magician Peter Vincent and Sacha Parkinson as Charley’s gorgeous girlfriend Amy.
FRIGHT NIGHT 2: NEW BLOOD is directed by Eduardo Rodriguez with British stunner Jaime Murray (DEXTER) taking on the villain role as vicious vamp Gerri and we have a peek at the latest artwork set to feature on the DVD/Blu-ray covers when the film is released in the US 1st October. No word yet on the UK release but expect it around the same time.
