‘Criminal Minds’ Kirsten Vangsness & A.J. Cook To Leave Over Sexist Pay?

Criminal Minds

It’s that time in of the year for television contract renewals and things seem to be getting pretty messy over at the CRIMINAL MINDS camp. Thomas Gibson, Joe Mantegna, Shemar Moore, Kirsten Vangsness and A.J. Cook’s contracts all finish after season eight of the long running CBS crime series, but it looks like Vangsness and Cook are willing to walk due to the fact that they are getting paid a considerably less amount then their male counterparts. Ouch.

It’s been no secret that CRIMINAL MINDS has been a little less friendly when it comes to pleasing the female audience and cast. Cook has already been let go by the show once, but returned when there was a fan outcry. The treatment of women on the show was the reason why Mandy Patinkin, who now stars in HOMELAND, left. He called the show “his biggest public mistake” saying:

“All they do is kill and rape all these women every night, every day, week after week, year after year.”

Well we hope a deal is struck up soon, what would CRIMINAL MINDS be without Garcia and J.J.?

Better question is what will Criminal Minds be without the viewing audience if Garcia & JJ don’t return?
