Since it would seem THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS has been pushed back from a 16th November release date to 7th December, there was a good chance my raging insanity of anticipation would have lead me on a killing spree. Luckily an animated prequel came to the rescue to quell the murderous beast inside me. This short but effective animated prequel tells the story of The Blacksmith (RZA) arriving in China via a slave ship, and an encounter he has has with one of the other characters from the film. We’ve met plenty of characters through the character trailers here, here, and here, so this gives us some nice backstory. The animation is simple, but has an ancient Asian artwork style to it.
THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS is released in the UK 7th December 2012. It stars Russell Crowe, Lucy Lui, RZA, Jamie Chung, Pam Grier, Rick Yune, Dave Bautista, Cung Le and Byron Mann.
