Filmmaker Tim Miller has departed the Deadpool sequel over creative differences. Deadline are reporting that Miller has jumped off of the Fox project following creative differences. The trade blog says that the director hadn’t officially signed a deal but was expected to helm the sequel which is due in cinemas in 2018.
Deadpool is one of this year’s biggest hits grossing over $700 million globally. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who put together this year’s movie will return to pen the script for Deadpool 2 which Miller was also helping to develop. Ryan Reynolds will return to lead the film for the studio.
Miller is said to be jumping on another Fox project, the adaptation of the David Suarez novel “Influx”, which could form a trilogy at the studio, according to the same source.
