In the lead up to San Diego Comic-Con later this week, Fox International Channels has decided to share the official synopsis and key artwork for Robert Kirkman and artist Paul Azaceta’s (The Walking Dead) upcoming TV series Outcast.
Here’s the official synopsis:
‘Outcast, based on Skybound/Image comic title by creator Robert Kirkman and artist Paul Azaceta, follows Kyle Barnes, a young man who has been plagued by demonic possession all his life. Now, with the help of Reverend Anderson, a country preacher with personal demons of his own, Kyle embarks on a journey to find answers to obtain a normal life he has never known. But what Kyle discovers could change his fate — and the fate of the world — forever’.
Set to premiere in 2016, the upcoming demonic possession horror series will star Patrick Fugit (Gone Girl) as Kyle Barnes, Philip Glenister (Kingdom of Heaven) as Reverend Anderson, Gabriel Bateman (Annabelle) as the demonically possessed Joshua Austin, and Wrenn Schmidt (Boardwalk Empire) as Joshua’s adoptive sister Megan Holter.
Stay tuned this weekend to get a first peak at the Outcast series when it panels in Room 6DE at Comic-Con this Saturday.
Possession may be the beginning but obsession for Kirkman and Azaceta’s work will keep us transfixed to this new and original series.
