Comedic New Zealander Rhys Darby is joining The X-Files miniseries for an episode.
Darby – well-known for his roles in Flight Of The Conchords, The Boat That Rocked and mockumentary What We Do In The Shadows – is an unexpected but exciting addition to a show noted for its surprises.
The nature of his role is of course classified, but will hopefully make use of his distinctive brand of physical comedy. Indeed, one of his tours was called This Way To Spaceship, a title Agent Mulder would certainly approve of!
Written by Chris Carter and starring David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and Mitch Pileggi, the six-part Fox revival hits screens in January.
Steve is a journalist and comedian who enjoys American movies of the 70s, Amicus horror compendiums, Doctor Who, Twin Peaks, Naomi Watts and sitting down. His short fiction has been published as part of the Iris Wildthyme range from Obverse Books.
