The legendary Stan Lee is a god among men to the geek world after creating pretty much every famous Marvel character you can think of from Spider-Man to Iron Man and even the Incredible Hulk. As you may be aware by now, Lee has made cameo appearances in near enough every Marvel film since Bryan Singer’s X-MEN in 2000. This has now become a tradition in the Marvel film universe that has continued throughout a range of adaptations of his vast creations, including every SPIDER-MAN film to date, the IRON MAN trilogy and THE AVENGERS.
Lee’s legendary status has even spread to the realms of geek-friendly television projects such as THE BIG BANG THEORY and even an episode of HEROES from all the way back in 2007. Now it has been revealed that Stan ‘the man’ Lee will have a role in an upcoming episode of Marvel’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D, which is of course a television spin-off from THE AVENGERS. Lee will reportedly have ‘a big role’ in the episode which certainly suggests a larger part than his usual cameo appearance. After AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D has already seen cameo’s from Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, it’s hardly surprising that the mighty comic creator will also have a role. The only question now is who will he be playing?, the episode will air in the US on 4th February so we wont have too long to wait but in the mean time you can see a behind the scenes photo below:
I’m sure I speak for us all when I say that I will most certainly be tuning in to see Stan Lee make an appearance on AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.
