A controversial figure inside and outside of the ring, former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson offers his own take on his turbulent life as one of the sports greats in a forthcoming HBO film based on his one-man stage show. Spike Lee directs MIKE TYSON: UNDISPUTED TRUTH in which the softly-spoken former fighter, who lets not forget has convictions for rape and spousal abuse, speaks candidly about growing up on the streets of Brooklyn and subsequent sporting career as Iron Mike. Still, this trailer does not sit well with it’s comedic tone at times.
MIKE TYSON: UNDISPUTED TRUTH premieres on the US network 16th November. No details of a UK date as yet but expect Sky Atlantic to pick it up. Tyson is also touring with the show in the UK from March.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
