If there’s something I’m looking forward to this October, then it’s definitely the debauchery and downright FILTH that’s set to come from this big-screen adaption of Irvine Welsh’s novel. James McAvoy plays the lead in looks what set to be a (hopefully) iconic role for him for all the wrong reasons, in terms of what he gets up to but also the nature of his performance as he loses track of reality.
Right now though, he brings back the fun that can be had with a photocopier in Jon S. Baird’s version that will surely shock and entertain. Alongside McAvoy on a downward spiral is Imogen Poots, Pollyanna McIntosh, Jim Broadbent, Jamie Bell and Eddie Marsan.
FILTH opens first in Scottish cinemas on September 27th and follows across the rest of the UK from October 4th. Enjoy the NSFW clip:
