GAME OF THRONES can’t seem to make their mind when it comes to one Westeros warrior, as it was revealed that the role of Gregor Clegane has been recast for the third time.
When the HBO smash returns for its fourth season, the role of Clegane will now be played by Icelandic actor Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who also made a name for himself in Iceland’s Strongest Man contests (coming in at 6f9 and 190kg, we’re not surprised!). Björnsson takes over the role from Ian Whyte, who won’t be feeling too bad as he has credits in HERCULES: THE THRACIAN WARS and 1066.
Björnsson joins Oberyn Martell and SHERLOCK’s Mark Gatiss as new cast members for season four of GAME OF THRONES. The show returns in Spring 2014.
