Ron Howard’s Formula 1 biopic RUSH saw an exhilarating new trailer released today showing us some of the action we can expect when the movie is released on September 13th in UK cinemas. The movie takes a closer look at the glamorous world of Formula One racing in the 1970’s and examines the real life rivalry of English driver James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and Austrian driver Nikki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl). The pair could not be more different in their styles and the trailer highlights some of Hunt’s playboy-esque womanizing ways compared to Lauda’s discipline and drive.
Howard, who won an Oscar in 2001 for A BEAUTIFUL MIND, has teamed up again with writer Peter Morgan who also penned 2008’s FROST/NIXON. The trailer promises us fast paced and dramatic action both on and off the circuit as the drivers fight for the right to call themselves the best. Co-starring Olivia Wilde, Natalie Dormer, Stephen Mangan and Julian Rhind-Tutt check out the trailer for RUSH below.
